As of 7/29, the normal registration window has closed. Late registration begins today (7/30) and is scheduled to remain open until 8/14. It may close at any time based on availability. These are the guidelines for using the late registration process:
Option 1
- Register online using our online registration process,
- If he/she did not participate in the program in 2009, send a copy of the child's birth certificate to rockfordrocketfb@yahoo.com . Registrations will not be valid w/o the birth certificate.
- Cost for Rocket Football registration: $80
- Cost for Flag Football registration: $55 Option 2
- Download the registration form from the website and complete it.
- Contact the Field Director (340-3669) to arrange delivery of the registration form. A copy of the child's birth certificate will be needed if he/she did not participate in the program in 2009.
- Cost for Rocket Football registration: $100
- Cost for Flag Football registration: $75

If you plan to register your child in the program, please also consider registering and volunteering as a coach. We are always looking for good coaches. If you're nurturing, a good teacher, and you've got the time, we've love to talk with you.
We particularly looking for coaches at the Flag Football level each year. It's a good introduction to the program (if you're interested in coaching later in the upper levels), you'll be able to coach your own child, and we'll give you all the tools to be successful. Plus, the time commitment is small. There's only 4 games and 4 practices. If you have any questions, contact either the Field Director or the Flag Field Director. Names and numbers can be found in the 'Contacting Us' tab. |
This is an option only available to returning players. We must have record of your participation in the program in 2009 for the registration to be accepted. All other registrations will be returned. |

The Mothersell award is an award presented annually to a NRFL member area that best exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship, fair play and commitment to youth displayed by Dennis Mothersell. Dennis Mothersell was a Field Director of the Sparta Rocket Football program who passed away suddenly at the age of 40.
Rockford is the 1st 3 time winner of the award. This is a great honor for the program and it speaks volumes about the quality individuals involved in it. Thanks to all of the volunteers, referees, and coaches who made this possible. A special thanks to Brian Weston, Joel Hoisington, Dave Dubes, and Chris Knapp. |
If you've been with us for awhile, you'll notice that the website has been redesigned again. The biggest reason for the change is that it makes ut easier for us to update the website and distribute information more quickly. It may not be as pretty as it is, but we think the new content will make it more useful. We hope you like the new look. |
